David Seybold was
born in Dunkirk, New York, in 1968. He graduated from Edinboro University
of Pennsylvania in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and teaching
certification. With a strong passion for his work and a desire to
excel, six years later David left all teaching opportunities to pursue
his life-long dream.
A positive attitude and believing in oneself
and talents helped David to develop a recipe for success. “Never stop believing
in yourself; you are only going to be as good as you want to be.” Holding
this philosophy, success was imminent.
David’s childhood artistic
ambitions included many forms of art, but it was as age 11 that he
discovered oil painting. Working in oils soon became a passion for
him and has since become his life-long pursuit.David’s experience
with Pennsylvania first began in childhood when his family vacationed
with friends in Tunkhannock every summer. Tradition continued every
year and David realized that someday he would return to settle in
Pennsylvania.
In 1999, David relocated his career to Lewisburg,
Pennsylvania, where he maintains a studio and home. Pennsylvania
also contains much of the subject matter that inspires his paintings.
His favorite subjects range from landscapes, colonial stone homes
and farm scenes to the antiques and primitives used in his still
life paintings.
David has exhibited in numerous one-man shows in
the northeast and has produced work for numerous commissions and
fund-raising projects. |
